Hubert Schrezenmeier is board certified in Transfusion Medicine and Internal Medicine, Haematology and Medical Oncology. He has long-standing experience in the development and characterisation of new therapeutic options. In addition, he is the Principal Investigator of a national-funded research project on “Danger response, disturbance factors and regenerative potential after acute trauma” and coordinates the first clinical study on the use of convalescent plasma for treatment of severe COVID-19 patients in Germany.

Erhard Seifried qualified in internal medicine and specialized in haematology, oncology, transfusion medicine and haemostaseology, which was his main research interest. He served as president of the German Society of Transfusion Medicine (DGTI) International Society for Blood Transfusion (ISBT) from 2008 until 2010. He was also an Executive Board and Board Member of EBA and its Vice-President. Erhard currently holds the position of Medical Director and CEO of the German Red Cross Blood Donor Service Baden-Wuerttemberg – Hessen, including its affiliates.
